Sun Valley Resort, nestled in the central mountains of Idaho is looking for dynamic Sous Chefs and other Cooks to join our banquet's culinary team. With venues ranging from food court style mountain lodges to fine dining and Chef's tasting menus, there are culinary opportunities for all skill levels.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Schedule, supervise, and train kitchen staff as needed
Praise, discipline, and counsel personnel as appropriate
Administer performance reviews
Create, plan, develop, and execute production of menu items
Oversee food purchasing for venue
Oversee equipment maintenance and sanitation
Menu development and planning
Extraordinary attention to detail
Ability to work and lead team under pressure
Ability to hold self and team to company standards at all times
Ability to delegate tasks as needed
While formal culinary training is preferred, candidates must have at least 5 years experience in various roles in a commercial kitchen.
