The main function of the Sun Valley Server is to provide for the guest’s food and beverage needs in a friendly and professional manner consistent with the standards of the organization. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet the guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Solicit the guest’s food and beverage order, making suggestions and explaining choices as necessary.
  • Submit orders to food or beverage preparation areas
  • Deliver prepared food and beverages to the table, ensuring satisfaction with quality of the meal.
  • Prepare and present the check, performing necessary cashier services to process the payment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of guest’s table during and after the meal.
  • Other duties required to ensure the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience.


  • Ability to deal with people in a team-based, service environment.
  • Repetitive Work:  ability to perform the same work over and over again.
  • Ability to perform duties in a manner that is strictly consistent with governmental and/or company standards.
  • Ability to present ideas, suggestive sales, and facts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to receive guidance and supervision.
  • Ability to maintain composure in often-busy environments.
  • Ability and willingness to perform all “side-work” assignments fully.
