Spa and Wellness Coordinator

The Spa & Wellness Coordinator requires keen customer service and employee relations knowledge to provide memorable experiences for our guests and members.  They will effectively be working with the Spa Leadership team to develop and continually improve the spa front desk & guest service areas. They will maintain exemplary customer service and facilitate a smooth operation to better service the team and our guests. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership of the day to day operations of the reception desk and guest service team
  • Properly open and close spa each day according to the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Accurately book, change, and cancel spa appointments
  • Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves the spa facilities
  • Provide detailed description of spa treatments, packages, services, facility features and hours of operation
  • Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency
  • Supervise the retail boutique, replenishing inventory, inventory control and maintain/update displays
  • Maintain spa desk bank & assure closing paperwork is correct and efficient
  • Answer the phone promptly and use the guest’s name throughout the phone conversation
  • Actively promote the spa treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
  • Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Maintain clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area
  • Work in cooperation with housekeeping and maintenance to main a high standard service experience
  • Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa
  • Assist in all areas of spa, fitness and pool operation as requested by management
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention

  • Must be a team player
  • Must be detailed-oriented and have ability to multi-task
  • Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to develop a successful team and provide efficient and effective training
  • Complete knowledge of financial budgeting and cost of sales
  • Ability to plan and assist with group reservations, event planning and health, wellness & lifestyle retreats

Experience in a similar role or related area, preferred
