Part Time Concierge

The Sun Valley Resort Concierge serves as an ambassador by providing relevant information and recommendations in a courteous, friendly and helpful manner.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an informational resource
  • Direct and assure that the guest services activities of the main lobby desk are handled promptly, efficiently and professionally.
  • Perform desk duties and all guest services, problem resolution and appropriate special gifts requests.
  • Work closely and cooperatively with Front Desk personnel and Foods Managers (especially Catering) relative to special guest services, problem resolution and appropriate assignment of cost or billing.
  • Accommodate special requests for cakes, bands, flower-baskets, and baggage recovery.
  • Assist with resort decorations as directed (hotel Lobbies, Mountain Lodges, restaurants, special holidays, parties and events.
  • Knowledge of storage locations, equipment and supplies for access and use in decorating.
  • Communicate current knowledge of ongoing resort events, especially groups, events and packages and rates. Knowledge of various restaurants and menu fare.
  • Possess a working knowledge of all resort facilities and departments and contact individuals.
  • Delegate, circulate and /or respond to daily mail or other notices and correspondence as necessary.
  • Provide support and assistance when necessary during large events including Ice shows, buffets, or others as required or directed.

  • Available information source coordinators

Interaction with the concierge can create an immediate and memorable impression for guests, visitors and employees.  A positive, cooperative and quality image projection is extremely valuable to the resort and therefore, essential in the performance of all tasks and duties of the concierge.

Professional Appearance and Service- Unless otherwise authorized by immediate supervisor, all concierge employees are required to dress professionally in business attire or as described by the manager.  All guests, visitors and employees are to receive prompt, efficient and courteous service at all times.
