Winter Mountain Guest Services

Mountain Guest Services ensures guests have a safe, hassle-free experience on the mountain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create and distribute daily ski report and mountain journal information to all areas of the resort.
  • Communicate with all departments the specifics relative to mountain sports activities.
  • Employee may be asked to set up banners, ski information boards, safety fences, ski racks and picnic tables.
  • At the beginning of each shift, each ski run must be inspected for snow safety. Any defects must be reported immediately to mountain dispatch.
  • Conduct speed control throughout the day.
  • Educate the mountain users regarding safe mountain recreation.
  • Conduct constant surveillance of all mountain ski runs for injured guests and/or guests needing assistance. This includes notifying mountain dispatch of anyone in need of help and staying with the individual until ski patrol arrives.
  • Obtain and maintain extensive knowledge of products and services available to the guest throughout the property.
  • Continually assists guests on the mountain with directions, instructions and general public relations.
  • Assist guests in the arrival and departure areas of the parking lots and base facilities.
  • Assist ski patrol with the mountain sweep at the end of the day.
  • Occasional assistance and support to Ski Patrol during lift evacuation, avalanche control and looking for/locating lost guests.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings.
  • Contribute regularly with ideas and solutions that may enhance the guest experience wherever possible.
